| Sometimes students want to follow their own interests and learn more about a particular area of the ancient world. Independent study offers that opportunity. This is usually a one semester course, done in the fall term. | ||||||||||
| Over the past several
years some very interesting projects have been done:
1. a study of ancient music 2. Roman food (with an accompanying banquet) 3. architecture and aqueducts 4. filming a video of a poem of Catullus |

| In order to do an independent study, the student must speak with me first, then meet with the Dean of Students to have it approved. | ||||||||||
