The Missing Gator of Gumbo Limbo

by Jean Craighead George

Okay, it is time to get out your colored pencils. Your project for Florida is to draw a map of Florida. Using an 11"x18" sheet of paper, you are to draw the state as accurately as you can. You may use any resources you wish to help you complete the project. The library is a great place to start. Included in your map must be the following:

Miami
Orlando
Tampa
Jacksonville
Tallahassee (capital)
Daytona
Gainesville
Pensacola
Lake Okeechobee
Everglades National Park
Cape Canaveral
Walt Disney World
The Florida Keys
Atlantic Ocean
Gulf of Mexico
St. John's River
Routes 4,75, and 95
The Florida Turnpike

You may add any other information that you wish. Be neat. Remember spelling and location must be accurate. Hand in the map when you are done.
