Max truly is a special pumpkin. Those of us not from Iowa probably have a hard time imagining a pumpkin that large. The project for Squashed is to make a postcard. Begin by getting a white index card from your teacher. On the blank side (the back) draw a picture of Max on the truck going to the fair. Sketch it out with a pencil first. Show as much detail as you can. On the other side (the front) draw a line vertically down the middle. On the left hand side write a paragraph explaining the book and your project. On the right hand side write in an actual address. To get credit for the project you need to actually mail the postcard to someone. (Yes, the post office will mail it.) Be sure to use a stamp. Have the recipient mail it back to you in an envelope. Grandparents are great people to use to help you complete the project. Bring the postcard to your teacher once it has returned. |
