National Spanish Exam

The deadline for registration for the 2010 National Spanish Examinations is on Sunday, January 31, 2010.  ---You do this easily online at http://www.nationalspanishexam.org/

You do not have to pay when you register: All payments must be postmarked by February 10, 2010.
RHODE ISLAND: Total fee is $6.00 for each student. 
In order to avoid a late fee of $2 per exam, please register by the January 31 deadline.

LATE REGISTRATIONS: There will be a late registration period from February 15 - February 25, 2010 for teachers who miss the regular registration. Teachers are to follow the same process as above; however, there is a $2 late fee per examination.

And just so you know-----

-there are Rhode Island Chapter Awards for students:

$500 – for the outstanding highest scoring senior in the advanced levels of 4, 5, 6 regardless of category (regular/outside experience/bilingual)

            $250 (2) –for the next two highest scores in the advanced levels of 4, 5, 6 regardless of grade and/or category

            $50 – to the highest score in levels 1,2 and 3 regardless of category

            $25- for level 01 highest score regardless of category

-all teachers have access to certificates (via the NSE website) that they print for each student that participates.  Our chapter sends out certificates for the awards listed above. 

-There are study and travel scholarships that both student AND teachers can apply for!
